From Cycle Tour to Social Movement: The Story of Team Brohiker’s Mission

Introduction

You might be wondering what it’s like to travel the world with someone you’ve just met. Or, you might be curious about what kind of person would be so open and giving as to invite a complete stranger into their life and travel plans.
Allow us to introduce you to two such people: Harsimran singh from India , a bikepacker who has been cycling across India for the last two years, and Miles Holt from United Kingdom, who is traveling the world for the first time. These two met while Miles was backpacking in Himachal Pradesh, India, and through a series of chance encounters and coincidences, they quickly realized that they wanted to travel together.
Now they’ve teamed up to arrange a van and convert it into a mobile home for their journey. They’ll be traveling all over the world, with the combined effort to help those in need, and to support the local communities along the way, putting their skill-sets together and providing solutions in any way they can. Both Simran and Miles, hail from working in the digital industries, and are experienced developers and designers. And to help get by, they also offer creative and digital services to anyone who needs them. So if you’re looking for a little bit of help with your website or social media presence, be sure to get in touch with these two globe-trotting adventurers!
Along their journey, they have also met another companion: Leilane. Lei is from Brazil, and a courageous adventurer who has been hitchhiking around the globe for 6 years, in 58 countries, without any money or a phone. Lei has a passion for travel, and is keen to explore and learn about the different cultures in India, with also an interest in Buddhism and spirituality. Simran and Miles met Lei while volunteering at a Yoga Ashram, and with shared interests and directions, the three have banded together.

The Story Behind the Journey

You’re probably wondering what could compel two people from completely different backgrounds to travel together across the vast and varied landscape of world. Well, let us tell you our story.
Both of us have always been passionate about social causes and making a difference in the world. But we each took a very different path to try and achieve that.
I started out by cycling across India – a cycle journey that took me 21000 km and 2 years to complete and still going on. Miles, on the other hand, came to India for the first time with the intention of traveling and getting to know the country firsthand.
It was only when we met each other in Bir, that we realized we shared the same dream – to help others through our travels. And that’s how Budhikers came into existence. We decided to team up and buy a van to convert into a mobile home for our journey to spread awareness of social causes and missions.
We hope to use this platform to provide web designing, animation, and other services to people who need it, while also spreading awareness about social causes and life-changing missions.
Team Budhikers has two main goals: to raise awareness of social causes and to complete as many missions as possible. We want to show people that it is possible to make a difference in the world, no matter how big or small your contribution may be. And we want to do all of this while having fun and making new friends along the way.

The Cause: Team Brohikers and The Problem of Food wastage

You might be wondering what kind of food we are talking about here. Unfortunately, a lot of it is just plain old wasted food.
Think about it: Restaurants discard untouched food at the end of the night, grocery stores toss out outdated items, and people often cook more than they can eat. All of this food ends up in landfills, where it rots and creates methane gas—a major contributor to climate change.
A rough estimated figure by the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) – Approximately 40% of the food produced in India is wasted every year. Food loss and waste are prevalent in a world where enough food is produced to feed the world’s 8 billion people, yet 811 million people still go to bed hungry each night.
This is a problem that Team Brohikers is trying to address. They’re going use their van to distribute free food in an effort to raise awareness about food wastage and encourage others to do the same.

The only clues we got is that the memories belong to a French couple, who travelled India between 1990-97, and the name of the lady is Madonna.
You can help us to return this memories to its right owners by sharing this article in your social media. As more people we can reach, higher are the chances that someone who knows this French couple get in touch and our mission is complete!
